Full job description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) | Long-Term Care | Kelowna, BC

$32.84 – $41.35/hour | Full-Time, Part-Time & Casual | Day, Evening & Night Shifts

Some people clock in. You show up with purpose.

You remember the resident who finally smiled after weeks of quiet. You notice when something is off before a chart tells you. You understand that meaningful work can be both deeply rewarding and demanding, and you thrive in an environment that values your well-being as much as your dedication.

If that sounds like you, Mission Creek Landing is building a team around people exactly like you.

The Opportunity

Mission Creek Landing is one of Kelowna's most established long-term care communities, nestled in a park-like setting beside Mission Creek Regional Park. For over 45 years, we've provided a safe, dignified home for seniors who can no longer live independently.

Now, we're entering our biggest chapter yet. We're expanding from 132 to 242 beds in Summer 2026 with new state-of-the-art equipment, and we're looking for Licensed Practical Nurses who want to grow with us.

This is more than a staffing call. It's a chance to help shape the culture, the care standards, and the team of a brand-new wing within a trusted community.

Join us at Mission Creek Landing where LPN’s have a voice in care decisions- not just tasks

What We're Offering You

  • Competitive hourly pay: $32.84 – $41.35/hr
  • Flexible scheduling built around your life (especially for casual roles)
  • Extended health, dental, and vision coverage (full-time)
  • RRSP program (full-time)
  • Paid time off
  • Employee assistance program
  • Life insurance
  • On-site parking (no daily commute stress)
  • Training and development to keep you growing and continuing education from our director of Nursing
  • Employee recognition because your work deserves to be seen
  • Leadership being on site and readily accessible whenever needed and always ready to jump in to support the team

What Your Days Will Look Like

  • Providing hands-on nursing care aligned with BCCNM Standards of Practice
  • Performing resident assessments, administering medications, and delivering treatments
  • Managing complex care needs including wound care, health management, and fall prevention
  • Collaborating with residents, families, RNs, and the interdisciplinary team to develop and update individualized care plans
  • Consulting with the RN, DOC, or Clinical Educator on clinical interventions
  • Mentoring and delegating tasks to care team members
  • Upholding resident rights, dignity, confidentiality, and independence every single shift
  • Ensuring safe medication practices and accurate documentation

What You Bring

  • Current LPN registration with BCCNM (graduate of a recognized Nursing Program)
  • Valid First Aid Certification
  • Experience in Long Term Care Environments
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently, take direction, and adapt with flexibility
  • Physical ability to meet the demands of the role
  • Successful Criminal Record Check (vulnerable sector)
  • A genuine passion for seniors and long-term care nursing

Who Thrives Here

You don't just follow a care plan. You see the person behind it. You're the nurse who builds trust with a resident's family in the hallway, who catches a subtle change in condition before anyone else, and who mentors a new colleague without being asked. You bring empathy, stability, and professionalism to every shift, even the tough ones.
