Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Rheumatology Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized nursing care to patients with rheumatologic conditions, supporting diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management. This role involves working closely with physicians, patients, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. The Rheumatology Nurse will utilize their expertise in medical procedures, patient education, and case management to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

 Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with rheumatic diseases.

 Conduct patient assessments and monitor treatment response.

 Administer biologic and injectable medications safely.

 Educate patients on medications, disease management, and lifestyle.

 Coordinate referrals, investigations, and follow-up appointments.

 Assist physicians during consultations and procedures.

 Monitor laboratory results and communicate concerns.

 Maintain accurate EMR documentation.

 Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.

 Support quality improvement initiatives and infection control.

Qualifications

 Current RN/ LPN registration in British Columbia.

 Excellent communication and organizational skills.

 Experience in rheumatology or internal medicine preferred (training provided).

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused.
