JOB OVERVIEW
Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is looking for a dynamic, strategic and results-driven professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager Supply Chain.

Reporting to the Director Supply Chain Strategy & SRM, this position is responsible to develop and execute the short- and long-term supply strategy for goods and services to support improved plant conditions and reduction in generation loss. Ensure a customer service approach across the department, establish priorities and develop the team to meet the business expectations. Represent OPG with the supplier community.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Lead and develop a team of procurement agents and/or commercial advisors.
  • Participate in strategic negotiations, supplier relationship management and supplier performance improvement.
  • Continuously improve OPG’s formalized Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) program, to evaluate critical suppliers via performance scorecards.
  • Develop SRM strategies and initiatives for services and materials in alignment with, but not limited to: OPG’s Supply Chain strategies, Reconciliation Action Plan, ESG targets, etc.
  • Track and report on operational excellence, financial integrity, ESG metrics, and business value to ensure OPG suppliers meet stringent safety, quality, and commercial objectives.
  • Support business planning activities, budget development and forecasting of resource requirements.
  • Ensure departmental alignment with OPG's goals and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree or College Diploma in an applicable field of study, or equivalent Supply Chain / Procurement designation program. E.g. Business, Materials Management, Supply Chain, Law, Finance, Engineering or other applicable fields of study.
  • Minimum (10) ten years in Procurement, Supply Chain, Supplier Quality Management, Vendor Management, Commercial Management or (10) combined years of experience across multiple applicable disciplines.
  • Experience managing a professional supply chain team, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects throughout the lifecycle and deliver results.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strategic planning and budget development/management.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working with and leading unionized team members.
