Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Healthy Heart Institute – Red Deer, AB

Healthy Heart Institute is seeking a compassionate and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our growing outpatient cardiology team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality Nuclear Cardiology procedures, including:
  • Rest and stress myocardial perfusion imaging
  • Rest MUGA studies
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Provide patients with clear pre-test instructions and explanations of procedures.
  • Verify patient identity, preparation, and safety before all examinations.
  • Maintain patient comfort, dignity, and confidentiality throughout testing.
  • Perform and document daily quality control procedures.
  • Maintain equipment according to manufacturer and departmental standards.
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with CNSC regulations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory records.
  • Comply with all applicable professional, provincial, and federal regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement and continuing education initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
  • Current registration and member in good standing with CAMRT and ACMDTT.
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
  • Nuclear Cardiology experience is an asset but is not required.
