Job Summary

Reporting to the PM Manager, the Project Manager will play a critical role in leading large-scale engineering projects from initial design through manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and customer handoff. The Project Manager will act as a primary liaison between customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring successful project outcomes and a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all areas of project management of large-scale projects.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle, serving as the primary point of contact to ensure customer expectations are understood, communicated, and consistently met.
• Manage client meetings, provide project status updates, and address concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project execution.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives, timelines, budgets and quality requirements are met.
• Coordinate with Production to establish project schedules, milestones, and manufacturing timelines.
• Prepare and manage change orders and related project documentation.
• Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams ensuring project outcomes.
• Perform quality assurance (QA) reviews and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Develop and coordinate logistics plans for equipment delivery and installation.
• Coordinate installation activities and manage third-party contractors and vendors.
• Perform startup and commissioning activities, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer training.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical troubleshooting support.
• Investigate and resolve warranty-related issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience within industrial manufacturing or related industry.
• Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules and customer relationships.
• Experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Experience with PLC controls, automation design, and SCADA.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, quality and operational efficiency.

Education & Training

• University Degree or Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar discipline.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification considered an asset.
• Knowledge of risk management, budgeting, procurement and contractor management.
• Understanding of industrial safety standards and regulations.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement training considered an asset.

Knowledge & Skill

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Proficiency with project management software.
• Experienced in managing contractors, vendors and supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• Strong risk assessment, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail, meticulous and the ability to maintain a high level of quality.
• Adaptable, resourceful and a willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

• This is a Monday to Friday schedule with hours aligned to the core hours of the business. Weekends and holiday availability will be required from time-to-time to meet deadlines.
• Travel requirements of up to +/- 40% annually.
• Required to work a combination of on-the-floor (+/- 30%) and in-office work (+/- 70%) setting.
• Required to wear PPE when entering production and project site.

• This position requires 100% on-site attendance during the probationary period. Upon successful completion of probation, employees may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement consisting of four days in the office and one day working remotely each week.

Pay: $80,000.00-$99,000.00 per year
