Full job description
Position Summary
Are you an Activity Worker looking to highlight your knowledge, skills, and abilities in a new and dynamic environment? We currently have an opportunity for you to bring your excellent work ethic to our Home & Community Care – Assisted Living department.
In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Assisted Living Activity Worker assists in providing a balanced program of purposeful services and activities to Assisted Living clients in accordance with policy and procedures.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 16:30
Qualifications
- Graduate of a recognized Long Term Care Program and experience with seniors; or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training and experience.
- Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Ability to deal with crisis and to work under stress when crisis occurs.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with planned activities in a professional manner, consistent with established administrative practices, procedures and regulations.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
