Position Summary

We are currently looking for a hard working and dedicated Laundry Worker to fill a Casual position at the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia (UHNBC).

In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position performs a variety of laundry duties such as sorting, folding and weighing linen, and operating domestic washers and dryer. These duties are conducted within the scope of Regional Northern Health (NH) Laundry Policies and Processes.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 for an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
• Ability to organize work.
