In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, the Assisted Living Activity Worker assists in providing a balanced program of purposeful services and activities to Assisted Living clients in accordance with policy and procedures.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 08:30 to 16:30

Qualifications

Graduate of a recognized Long Term Care Program and experience with seniors; or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education, training and experience.
Valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Ability to deal with crisis and to work under stress when crisis occurs.
Demonstrated ability to assist with planned activities in a professional manner, consistent with established administrative practices, procedures and regulations.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
