Full job description

Medical Office Assistant (MOA) — Reception & Admin, Family Medicine

Previvo Longevity · 154 Provencher Blvd, Winnipeg, MB · Full-time · In person

Previvo is growing its family medicine practice, and we need an experienced MOA to own the front desk. You will be the first person our patients meet and the reason the day runs on time. Strong, hands-on Accuro experience is required — you will be booking, billing and managing charts in Accuro from day one.

Previvo is a physician-led clinic in St. Boniface that combines family medicine with preventive and longevity care, including advanced diagnostics, IV therapy and recovery services. We are a small, multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses and allied health professionals who care about doing medicine properly and treating patients well.

What you'll do

Front desk and patient flow

  • Greet and check in patients; verify Manitoba Health numbers, demographics and contact details in Accuro
  • Answer phones, voicemail, email and the family medicine inbox promptly and professionally
  • Book, reschedule and confirm appointments in the Accuro scheduler; manage the physician's day sheet, wait times and no-shows
  • Register new patients and manage the family medicine intake and waitlist

Billing and administration

  • Submit Manitoba Health fee-for-service claims through Accuro using correct tariff and diagnostic codes
  • Reconcile remittances, follow up on rejected or held claims, and correct and resubmit
  • Process uninsured services and third-party billing (forms, notes, WCB, MPI, insurance) and take payments

Charts and clinical support

  • Scan, index and file incoming documents (lab results, imaging, specialist letters, faxes) into the correct Accuro chart and route them to the physician's inbox
  • Prepare and send referrals, requisitions and prescription renewal requests; book and track specialist and diagnostic appointments
  • Process records requests and release of information in line with PHIA and clinic policy
  • Room patients and take basic vitals if trained (an asset, not required)

Office

  • Keep the reception area clean, calm and stocked; manage office supplies
  • Follow privacy, infection-control and clinic procedures at all times
  • Support the wider Previvo team with booking and admin as needed

Requirements:

  • Accuro EMR — professional, hands-on proficiency (required). You can independently run the scheduler, register patients, submit and reconcile Manitoba Health claims, and manage the inbox, document scanning and charting in Accuro. Applicants without Accuro experience will not be considered.
  • MOA certificate or diploma from a recognized program, or equivalent is an asset
  • At least 2 years of experience as an MOA or medical receptionist, ideally in family medicine or primary care
  • Working knowledge of Manitoba Health fee-for-service billing (tariff codes, diagnostic codes, claim corrections)
  • Strong medical terminology
  • Clear, warm and professional communication on the phone and in person
  • Organized, accurate and calm when the waiting room is full
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and Manitoba's Personal Health Information Act (PHIA)
  • Confident with email, Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, and fax/e-fax workflows

Nice to have

  • Experience helping build a new family medicine patient panel
  • Jane App experience (we use it for other Previvo services)
  • French or another second language
  • Current CPR / BLS certification

What we offer

  • Competitive hourly wage based on experience
  • A modern, well-equipped clinic and a supportive multidisciplinary team
  • Room to grow with the practice as we add physicians

Send your resume and a short cover note to jobs@previvo.com with the subject line "MOA – Family Medicine".
