Position Title: Warehouse Technician

Salary Range: $40/hr + OT ($46.67/hr over a 12 hour day)

About the Client and Role

We are on the hunt for a Warehouse Technician for a Contract position as part of the Mine Operations Team at a Mine in the North. This is a rotational operation, with a 14 days on, 14 days off schedule, and will require day and night shifts. Work hours are 12 per day, 14 on, 14 off. Rate is $40/hr plus OT after 8 hours per day ($46.67/ per hour over a 12 hour day). Flights are arranged by us. Camp accommodations and meals provided.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:


  • Maintain yard and facility cleanliness and organization.
  • Support production processes by ensuring the availability of parts for critical equipment.
  • Coordinate and execute all projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Hand.
  • Oversee site waste management, including the coordination and removal of waste materials.
  • Manage the removal of scrap metal from the site in accordance with community agreements and in collaboration with business partners.
  • Ensure warehouse housekeeping standards are upheld in alignment with Company policies, promoting a safe and injury-free workplace.
  • Deliver efficient and timely services to customers and collaborating departments to meet or exceed business requirements.
  • Operate materials handling equipment safely and in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the organization.
  • Foster effective communication and strong working relationships with customers and interfacing departments to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Attend all supply chain and warehouse toolbox safety meetings.
  • Assist with daily operational tasks as needed.
  • Self-Starter with an ability to work alone safely and efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Responsible for coordination of special projects as assigned up to and including completion
  • Responsible for keeping accurate records, updating inventory information as needed and entry/update of records in Excel, SAP, Word and various Microsoft applications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Hand.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (GED) preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in warehousing, material handling, and shipping operations.
  • Trained and qualified in the safe operation of warehouse equipment.
  • Previous experience in a warehousing role within a mining environment is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability in risk awareness, hazard identification, and mitigation.
  • Familiarity with computerized material management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is considered an asset.
