With over 25 years of experience, EDSS Sanitation Solutions is one of the leading providers of food plant sanitation services to food manufacturing facilities. We understand how critical food plant sanitation is to the success of your operation so we take contract cleaning quality and safety very seriously.

We handle every detail of your sanitation program; from on-site management of nightly cleaning crews to managing and maintaining all appropriate documentation necessary for the internal, third party, BRC, SQF, CFIA, and USDA (FSA) audits to name a few.

EDSS Sanitation Solutions is looking for a Sanitation Supervisor to join our team of cleaning and sanitation experts to help service our customers. Our clients are in the food processing industry. Supervise sanitation workers and EDSS activities at the client's facility. Leadership, problem solving, customer service, organizational skills are necessary for this position.

The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Sanitation Supervisor to join our team of cleaning and food safety experts. In this role, you will be the on-site leader responsible for supervising sanitation workers, managing EDSS operations at the client's facility, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety. If you are a proactive problem-solver with strong leadership skills and a sharp eye for detail, we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, direct, and motivate nightly sanitation crews to ensure all activities are executed safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee staff lifecycle tasks including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and administering company policies and procedures.
  • Provide on-site Health & Safety incident reporting and root-cause investigations. Drive continuous improvement through ongoing safety, chemical usage, and procedure training.
  • Audit Readiness: Develop, update, and maintain robust sanitation programs, policies, and SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) documentation to comply with company, client, and regulatory standards.
  • Own the results of pre-op and post-op testing, including microbial and bioluminescence swabbing. Address and correct any non-compliances on the spot.
  • Strictly enforce GMPs, implement HACCP processes, and execute the facility's Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Investigate SSOP deviations, identify root causes, and implement definitive corrective action plans.
  • Partner closely with the customer’s QA Managers (as well as our internal QA team) to continuously optimize sanitation and food safety programs.

What You Bring (Requirements)

  • Proven experience in food safety, quality assurance, or food plant sanitation.
  • Solid familiarity with SQF, HACCP, SSOP, SOP, and standard health & safety regulations.
  • Knowledge of food processing equipment and chemical applications.
  • Familiarity with micro-sample collection and analysis, with the ability to interpret data and implement immediate corrective actions.
  • Ability and willingness to work the night shift reliably.
  • Strong communication and training skills; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel); mechanically inclined; highly punctual and dependable.
  • Professional proficiency in reading and writing English.
  • Degree or diploma in a related field (Food Science, Microbiology, or equivalent).
  • Access to a reliable transportation

Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
