About Bymark

Part of the McEwan Group - Ontario's benchmark name in premium hospitality and retail. Bymark has spent over two decades earning the loyalty of a discerning clientele through culinary excellence, sophisticated atmosphere, and uncompromising service. This is a rare opportunity to take a leadership role at a flagship property of one of Canada's most respected hospitality brands.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced, service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead front-of-house operations at Bymark. Reporting to the General Manager, this is a senior management role with full accountability for daily service delivery, team leadership, bar oversight, and the guest experience from pre-service through close. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in fine dining management, sound knowledge of Ontario hospitality legislation, and the composure and professionalism to represent the Bymark brand at the highest level.

What You Will Do

  • Lead all front-of-house service operations, managing floor flow, table management, and service pacing across every service period.
  • Maintain management presence across bar and patio areas; support wine service execution and oversee beer and wine procurement, replenishment, and inventory.
  • Build, schedule, and develop a high-performing FOH team through on-floor coaching, performance management, and Push Operations scheduling.
  • Coordinate private dining events and group bookings, including function sheet preparation and liaison with the events and culinary teams.
  • Manage day-to-day systems including Micros POS, OpenTable, and Eigen; process cash-outs and contribute to monthly inventory reporting.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Liquor Licence and Control Act (LLCA), AGCO guidelines, DineSafe Toronto requirements, and OHSA supervisor obligations.
  • Manage guest relations and service recovery professionally; oversee Bymark's Google Review responses and front-facing digital reputation.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of front-of-house experience in an upscale or fine dining environment, with at least 2 years in a restaurant management role.
  • Valid Smart Serve certification (Ontario) required prior to start.
  • Demonstrated experience in bar operations, beverage service, and responsible liquor service compliance.
  • Proficiency in Micros POS and OpenTable; experience with Push Operations is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Ontario hospitality legislation: LLCA, AGCO, ESA 2000, OHSA, and DineSafe Toronto.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and guest-facing communication skills, with the ability to perform under pressure in a high-volume environment.
  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred; equivalent verified experience will be considered.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Extended health benefits package, including dental and vision coverage.
  • Employee meal privileges.
  • Career growth opportunities across the McEwan Group portfolio of restaurants and retail operations.
  • A professional, high-standard work environment at one of Toronto's most established dining destinations.
