Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The Food & Beverage Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising team members, coordinating food and beverage services, and upholding the establishment’s reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the food and beverage team to ensure efficient operations and outstanding customer service.
- Liaise with Chef on food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling processes to maintain quality standards.
- Manage restaurant operations including POS (Square) to facilitate smooth transactions.
- Conduct interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations for staff members.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and OH&S.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities.
- Maintain a welcoming environment for guests by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Implement policies related to hospitality, food safety, and customer service to enhance overall guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles; supervising experience is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS
- Background in restaurant, hospitality or hotel management is advantageous.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff members.
- Effective communication skills with experience in interviewing and training new employees.
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service best practices.
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
