Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food & Beverage Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and food service experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. The Food & Beverage Manager will play a pivotal role in supervising team members, coordinating food and beverage services, and upholding the establishment’s reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the food and beverage team to ensure efficient operations and outstanding customer service.
  • Liaise with Chef on food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling processes to maintain quality standards.
  • Manage restaurant operations including POS (Square) to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Conduct interviewing, hiring, training, and performance evaluations for staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and OH&S.
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff on menu planning, special events, and promotional activities.
  • Maintain a welcoming environment for guests by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Implement policies related to hospitality, food safety, and customer service to enhance overall guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles; supervising experience is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Square POS
  • Background in restaurant, hospitality or hotel management is advantageous.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff members.
  • Effective communication skills with experience in interviewing and training new employees.
  • Knowledge of the food industry trends and customer service best practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
