Full job description

Line Cook at Agora Yorkville

We're looking for lines cooks to join for the opening of our new Agora Yorkville team! Looking for full or part time availability, with a range in hours of 32-40 hours per week. Must be available to work weekends.

Location: 105 Scollard St.

Please note:

  • TRAINING WILL TAKE PLACE AT OUR AGORA QUEEN STREET LOCATION (921 Queen Street West), YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK AT THIS LOCATION FOR UP TO 3-4 WEEKS
  • Opening is expected to take place the second week of September
  • During training, those hired for full-time positions may not receive full-time hours until Agora Yorkville is open, ongoing updates will be provided

Summary of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Area Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleagues
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to company specifications
  • Ensure all orders are completed accurately
  • Ability to work multiple stations on a kitchen line
  • Help coordinate production as it relates to restaurant and catering functions
  • Maintain proper rotation of product in all chillers to minimize wastage/spoilage
  • Ensure storeroom requisitions are accurate
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow kitchen policies, procedures and service standards
  • Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
  • Schedule: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends, Holidays
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in the Culinary field required (2 years)
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
