Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining a welcoming and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a background in hospitality, and the ability to manage a team effectively. As the Front of House Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, enhancing guest experiences, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all front-of-house operations to ensure high standards of service and hospitality.
  • Train, supervise, and manage front-of-house staff.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints promptly and effectively to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accurate processing of transactions using POS systems.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate service flow and maintain communication between front and back of house.
  • Conduct interviews and assist in the hiring process for new front-of-house team members.
  • Monitor cleanliness and organization of dining areas to create an inviting atmosphere for guests.
  • Implement policies and procedures that promote operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in customer service or hospitality management is required.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Experience in coffee or knowledge of beverage service is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cash handling processes and POS systems is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and staff alike.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in restaurant management is preferred but not mandatory.
