The Opportunity

At Osler Bluff Ski Club, exceptional service and authentic connection are at the heart of our member experience. We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented ambassador to serve as the vibrant face and voice of our community. This is a part-time position with a reliable, set schedule on Mondays and Tuesdays, plus required availability to work statutory holidays and provide extra coverage (such as covering staff vacations or peak periods).

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet members, respond to inquiries promptly, and resolve questions or concerns with a professional, customer-first approach.
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls efficiently, taking detailed messages when necessary.
  • Assist with drafting, and editing, internal and external communications (e.g., member emails, newsletters, announcements, push notifications, or social media updates).
  • Support administrative work such as maintaining accurate member records, update databases, and handle general office tasks to support daily operations.
  • Assist in projects and perform other job-related duties as directed by management.
  • Assist with recording Patrol calls and information.
  • Ensure conditions report is sent to members daily on a timely basis.
  • Assess situations quickly, make practical and reasonable decisions, and know when something needs to be escalated to management.
  • Able to think on their feet, manage competing priorities, remain calm when things get busy, and adapt quickly when the Club's needs change.
  • Commit to working regular shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays, alongside availability for statutory holidays and ad-hoc shift coverage as business needs requires.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, member relations, administration, or communications.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a polite and professional phone manner.
  • Strong multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning new database or communication tools.
  • Experience with Jonas software would be an asset.
  • Exceptional commitment to customer service; highly proactive, with a strong sense of urgency and ability to complete projects/tasks.
  • Strong team player with an orientation to take initiative. Flexible, adaptive and ability to execute a range of job duties and changing priorities.
  • Ability to work in an environment where unanticipated changes in demand often necessitates a change in priorities.
  • Strong judgment, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Possess professional maturity, sensitivity and impeccable integrity that exemplify the Club’s core values.

Osler Bluff Ski Club values the unique skills and experiences everyone brings to the Club and is committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone.
