Front Desk Receptionist - Medical Clinic

We are hiring a full-time Front Desk Receptionist for our Southwest Edmonton medical clinic.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong retail, customer service, reception, hospitality, call centre, or administrative experience who wants to move into a stable healthcare office role. Medical office experience is an asset but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.

About the Role

You will be the first point of contact for patients at the clinic. This role is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, professional, comfortable on the phone, and able to stay calm while handling multiple tasks.

You may be a great fit if you have worked as a cashier, retail associate, retail supervisor, customer service representative, front desk agent, receptionist, server, host, or call centre representative.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients as they enter the clinic
  • Answer incoming phone calls
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
  • Communicate with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
  • Use our electronic medical record system
  • Complete general administrative and reception tasks
  • Help keep the front desk running efficiently and professionally

Qualifications and Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in retail, customer service, call centre, reception, hospitality, medical, administrative, or office work
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using computers and learning new software
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy environment
  • Friendly, professional, and calm under pressure
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Medical Office Assistant diploma or medical clinic experience is not required
