General Manager - duties include, but are not limited to:

Employee Relations

  • Coach, lead and manage team members
  • Maintain and foster positive relationships with fellow management team members
  • Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding & training of new team members
  • Assist in scheduling & conducting regular performance reviews of all team members
  • Develop & maintain positive, motivating & professional relationships with team members
  • Ensure Smitty’s procedures & policies are being followed at all times
  • Delegate daily tasks to team members
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to team members & set employee goals & objectives
  • Maintain and demonstrate professional work ethics & a positive attitude at all times
  • Work on the floor and coach team members in real time

Administrative Duties:

  • Develop all team member schedules
  • Help with liquor & food inventory controls to meet & exceed annual budget
  • Enter payroll information
  • Manage cash and conduct daily paperwork
  • Attend to ATM, VLT’s and daily cash flow
  • Oversee maintenance and upkeep of equipment
  • Increase sales in food and alcohol
  • Maintain quarterly budgets
  • Take responsibility for all overall operations of your building

Guest Services:

  • Develop a professional, friendly relationship with customers & suppliers
  • Manage the daily operations of the restaurant
  • Maintain a clean appearance in all areas of the building
  • Provide exceptional customer service

Key Requirements:

  • Serving it Safe Certificate
  • WHMIS Certificate
  • Food Handler’s Certificate
  • 2+ years in the restaurant/hospitality field
  • 2+ years in a leadership position
  • Excellent customer service and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • Organized with the ability to multitask & problem solve
  • Must be able to work long hours, holidays, weekends and evenings
  • Some on call work and a willingness to answer your phone on off time will be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
