Position Summary
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will perform a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while providing exceptional patient care. Working closely with radiologists, referring physicians, and fellow healthcare professionals, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging that helps patients receive timely diagnoses and treatment.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, values clinical excellence, and is passionate about making a meaningful difference in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Complete diagnostic ultrasound examinations including:
- Abdomen
- Pelvis
- Obstetrics
- Gynecology
- Small Parts
- Vascular
- Musculoskeletal (MSK)
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation.
- Ensure accurate documentation and image acquisition.
- Provide compassionate, professional, and patient-centered care.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all privacy regulations.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians, and clinic staff.
- Follow Wosler Diagnostics' quality assurance, patient safety, and infection prevention standards.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any technical concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications Required
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- Current registration (or eligible for registration) with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Professionals of Saskatchewan (CMRIPS).
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Preferred
- Experience performing a broad range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations.
- Previous experience working in a diagnostic imaging clinic is considered an asset.
