This role supports Amano McGann Parking and Access Control systems.

Our equipment includes networked automatic barrier gates, ticket dispensers, and automated payment terminals. Candidates may work independently or with other Amano McGann Canada technicians to set-up, install, maintain, and support this equipment.

Previous experience in the Parking or Access Control industry is a major asset.

Applicants must be allowed to work in Canada.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preventative maintenance and upkeep of parking equipment.
  • Installation and removal of various types equipment.
  • Software/firmware installation and upgrades.
  • Collaborating with Amano McGann and 3rd party support providers to facilitate installations and resolve technical issues.
  • Support Amano McGann Canada customers in a polite and respectful manner.
  • Occasional on-call, after-hours, overtime, and emergency service.
  • Additional service and support duties as assigned or required.
  • Note: This position will require walking, kneeling, bending, and working on ladders.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate initiative and an aptitude to learn.
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of computer systems and networking.
  • An understanding of electronic and electrical principles and best practices.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and a familiarity with both hand and power tools.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions as needed.
  • Comfortable lifting and or moving in excess of 20kg on a regular basis.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid G-class driver’s license with a clean driving record with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
