Full job description

Techify is hiring a Systems Administrator to take ownership of client environments and ensure they are built, maintained, and continuously improved against proven best practice standards.

This is a hands-on, technical role focused on analyzing, optimizing, and stabilizing infrastructure across multiple client environments. You will work both remotely and onsite across the GTA to ensure networks are secure, well-documented, and operating at peak performance.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Assessing and documenting client network environments with a high level of accuracy
  • Troubleshooting complex issues across networking, servers, and cloud environments
  • Identifying root causes and implementing long-term, stable solutions
  • Aligning client environments to Techify’s best practice standards
  • Performing onsite technical work across GTA client locations when required
  • Maintaining clean, structured, and reliable technical documentation
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of standards, processes, and tooling
  • Leveraging AI tools where appropriate to improve efficiency and insight

We Want to Hire You If You:

  • Have 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems admin or IT infrastructure
  • Think in systems, patterns, and root causes, not just symptoms
  • Take a structured, methodical approach to troubleshooting
  • Care about accuracy, completeness, and doing things the right way
  • Are comfortable working independently and owning technical outcomes
  • Communicate clearly and directly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Are organized and able to manage multiple environments without losing detail

Technical Experience

  • Networking: switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, wireless infrastructure
  • Servers & infrastructure (Windows environments)
  • Microsoft 365 administration
  • Azure fundamentals (identity, networking, cloud services)
  • Documentation and system mapping
  • Experience working across multiple environments (MSP experience is an asset)

Role Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle (regular onsite client work)
  • Post-secondary education in IT or related field

  • Conducted a detailed onsite network assessment and produced clean documentation of the environment
  • Diagnosed and resolved a recurring issue by identifying the underlying infrastructure misconfiguration
  • Reviewed a client’s setup against standards and implemented improvements to reduce risk
  • Standardized configurations across devices to improve consistency and performance
  • Used AI tools to assist with analysis, documentation, or proactive recommendations

Compensation

  • $80,000 – $101,000 CAD (based on experience)
