JOB DESCRIPTION: Security Systems Technician, Installation and Service

An Electronic Security Systems Technician specializes in Installing and Troubleshooting electronic equipment such as card readers, door contacts, request-to-exits, electrified locking hardware, control panels, surveillance cameras, video recorders, etc.

ADSS established in 2004 as a security system integrator originating from the Montreal area. We are specialized in the area of card access and video surveillance. We have since expanded into the Ottawa, Toronto, Atlantic Canada, while supporting global and national clients. Currently a team of 25+ and continue to expand and grow each year. We support large enterprise security solutions including but not limited to: Lenel:S2, Software House, Feenics, Avigilon, AMAG, Automatic Systems, Milestone, Wavestore, South West Microwave & many more.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for someone who is versatile and motivated. You are a problem solver and take pride in your work. You possess good judgment and honesty. Our candidate will be a key part of our Ottawa team. This is a long term, solid position, with a great opportunity to grow and learn from top industry professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ø Installation of Access Control, Video Surveillance, Burglary Intrusion Systems, Turnstiles & Revolving Doors, Perimeter Intrusion Systems, Locking hardware etc.

Ø Interacting with customers for installation, maintenance, or service-related tasks.

Ø Performing diagnostic checks to find the source of any malfunction

Ø Utilizing multimeters, tone generators, and other test equipment to inspect and test electronic equipment, components and assemblies

Ø Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and drawings

Ø Maintaining records such as work orders, tests, and maintenance reports

Ø Accessing and distributing product information using electronic means such as e-mail, databases and the InternetØ

Ø Working within a team environment to execute the work assigned.

Requirements

Ø Dynamic, motivated, versatile, proud, and thoroughØ

Ø Work well in a team environment

Ø Certifications in the following products is considered an asset: Lenel, Genetec, Software House, Amag, S2, Milestone, Avigilon, Automatic Systems, Boon Edam

Ø Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision

Ø Min. 5 years security installation experience is considered an asset

Ø Min. High School Grade 12 Diploma

Ø G Class driver’s license

Ø Ability to obtain a clean criminal background check and other Security Clearances.Ø

Ø College and/or University degrees are considered an asset.

Ø Security related manufacturer product training is considered an asset.
