Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of complex network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of network protocols, security, virtualization, and cloud technologies to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability of our enterprise network systems. This role offers an opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a dynamic IT environment, supporting mission-critical operations across multiple platforms and locations. Duties

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architecture including LAN, WAN, data center networks, and cloud integrations such as AWS and Azure.
  • Configure and manage network devices including Cisco routers, switches, ASA firewalls, Juniper devices, and Cisco ISE for network access control.
  • Implement and support network security measures including VPNs, IPsec, SSL/TLS encryption, PKI, IDS/IPS systems, and network monitoring tools like SolarWinds and PRTG.
  • Manage routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS to ensure high availability and optimal data flow across the network infrastructure.
  • Oversee virtualization platforms like VMware vSphere and Citrix to support virtualized environments and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Automate network configurations and system administration tasks using scripting languages such as Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell, and tools like Ansible.
  • Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds or Splunk; troubleshoot issues related to TCP/IP stack, DNS/DHCP services, LDAP/Active Directory integration, load balancing solutions, and high availability configurations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network architecture planning in accordance with SDLC principles; support telecommunication systems including VoIP and QoS implementations.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures; participate in SDLC processes for new deployments or upgrades.

Experience

  • Proven experience in advanced network engineering roles with a focus on enterprise-level infrastructure.
  • Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), VLANs, VPNs (IPsec), DHCP/DNS management.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS/ASA devices; Juniper networks; Cisco ISE; Palo Alto or other firewalls; load balancers; SAN storage solutions; virtualization platforms such as VMware vSphere or Citrix.
  • Strong background in system administration across multiple operating systems including Windows Server environments (Active Directory), Linux distributions (Debian, CentOS, Ubuntu), UNIX variants (Solaris/BSD), macOS.
  • Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure for hybrid cloud architectures; experience with automation tools such as Ansible or PowerShell scripting.
  • Knowledge of network security best practices including encryption standards (SSL/TLS), PKI management, LDAP integration; experience with IDS/IPS systems such as Snort or Suricata.
  • Experience working within Agile methodologies; familiarity with network management tools like SolarWinds or PRTG; proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
