Full job description

The IT Service Desk Technician will support the deployment and refresh of enterprise laptops and related hardware. This role is responsible for device preparation, configuration, deployment, data migration, asset management, user support, and retirement of legacy equipment while ensuring compliance with organizational security and technology standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deploy Windows 11 laptops using Microsoft Managed Desktop (MMD) standards, including Autopilot enrollment and configuration.
  • Set up laptops, docking stations, and peripherals at user workstations or staging locations.
  • Perform user data, profile, and settings migration from legacy devices to new laptops using approved tools and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventory records, including device assignments, status updates, and lifecycle tracking.
  • Provide onsite and remote support during deployments, including user orientation, login assistance, and troubleshooting.
  • Retire legacy devices by performing secure data wipes, updating asset records, and coordinating disposal or redeployment.
  • Verify devices meet security, patching, encryption, and compliance requirements before and after deployment.
  • Perform other related duties and project activities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Bilingual (English & French)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting laptop refresh or device deployment projects utilizing Intune, ServiceNow, and SCCM.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop environments and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience deploying and supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience with device imaging, provisioning, and configuration management.
  • Experience performing data migration and device refresh activities.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management systems and hardware lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security controls, including BitLocker encryption, patch management, and compliance policies.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting laptops, docking stations, and peripherals.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and end-user support skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft on-premises and Azure cloud technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise deployments of 500+ devices.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, are considered an asset.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
