About the Job

A Victoria family is hiring a full-time Nanny / Child Care Provider for two school-age children (ages 8 and 11). This is a permanent, full-time role paying $21.00/hour. A live-in option is available — a private bedroom and bathroom at no cost — but it is not required.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing daily care and supervision for two children aged 8 and 11
  • Planning and leading activities — outdoor time, reading, creative projects, and games
  • Helping with homework and after-school routines
  • Preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks, and cleaning up the kitchen after
  • Tidying the children's bedroom and playroom as part of the daily routine
  • Washing, folding, and putting away the children's laundry
  • Accompanying the children to school and activities via public transit or walking
  • Keeping daily notes and communicating regularly with parents

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of childcare experience (references required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Warm, patient, and reliable with school-age children
  • First Aid and CPR certified (or willing to obtain)
  • Clear criminal background check
  • Valid Canadian work authorization
  • Comfortable sharing a home with a medium-sized dog

Nice to Have

  • ECE certificate or childcare training

  • 30–40 hours per week — schedule confirmed with you
