Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring, responsible, and experienced Live-In Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support for young children in a private household. The successful candidate will create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment while assisting with daily routines, educational activities, meal preparation, and light household duties related to the children.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, age-appropriate care for young children.
- Supervise and ensure children's safety at all times.
- Plan and engage children in educational, recreational, and developmental activities.
- Assist with morning and bedtime routines.
- Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children.
- Feed, bathe, dress, and assist with personal hygiene as needed.
- Transport children to and from school, daycare, appointments, and extracurricular activities when required.
- Maintain children's schedules, including naps, meals, and activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children, including:
- Laundry
- Organizing toys and play areas
- Cleaning children's bedrooms and common areas used by the children
- Washing children's dishes and bottles
- Monitor children's health and well-being and communicate any concerns to parents.
- Administer medication as directed by parents when authorized.
- Maintain open and professional communication with parents regarding daily activities and developmental milestones.
- Support positive behavior and reinforce household rules and routines.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience caring for infants, toddlers, or young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferred).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and vulnerable sector screening.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable, trustworthy, patient, and nurturing demeanor.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism within a private household.
