Casual Licensed Practical Nurses needed for below :

  • Home-care
  • Facilities - schools, retirement homes, long-term care, assisted living ($35/h)
  • Palliative care

Looking for Alberta Registered LPNs to help care for clients in and around Edmonton and Area, such as Sherwood Park, St.Albert, Fort Saskatchewan, Morinville, and Ardrossan. Please notethis is a casual position and hours available are dependent on clients available. Must be comfortable with palliative care and wound care.

You are highly motivated to work independently, while collaborating with other care providers, advisers, and family to provide top notch care for your clients. In addition to understanding the importance of client care, in this role you also understand the importance of clear, actionable plans that deliver results.

Requirements

  • Active registration with CLPNA is a MUST.
  • Must have valid Class 5 driver's license and own vehicle.
  • Comfortable working with palliative clients and wound care.
  • Passionate about making a difference.
  • Described as a self led leader with the ability to take responsibility for own behaviour and success.
  • Meal preparation, light housekeeping, and/or provide companionship and personal care.
  • Comfortable working with all ages having cognitive and physical disabilities.
  • Execute on the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
  • Help clients with their ADL's (Activities of Daily Living).
  • Assist clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises.
  • Meet the safety needs of the client and use equipment safely and properly.
  • Function within the limits of your own experience and knowledge, while practising safely and competently within the job description.
  • Complete records and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
  • Passionate about making a difference.
  • Must be able speak and write in English. Other languages will be an asset.
  • Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
  • Able to travel from client to client in a timely fashion.
