Job Summary

Stay at Home Music Inc. is a Toronto-based music school dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized, in-home and online music lessons. We are looking for passionate and experienced Music Instructors to join our team, specializing in piano, vocals, guitar, bass, violin, drums, and ukulele. As a Music Instructor, you will play an essential role in inspiring students of all ages and skill levels to reach their musical potential in a fun and engaging environment. This is a part-time role with flexible scheduling options.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual music lessons in students' homes across Toronto, focusing on piano, vocals, guitar, bass, violin, drums and ukulele
  • Customize lesson plans based on each student’s skill level, interests, and goals
  • Create a positive and encouraging atmosphere that supports students’ musical growth
  • Communicate regularly with students and families regarding progress and scheduling
  • Travel to students’ homes within Toronto and maintain a professional and punctual approach
  • Keep Stay at Home Music Inc. informed on student progress and any scheduling changes

Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in teaching music (piano, vocals, guitar, bass, violin, drums and ukulele)
  • Ability to teach multiple instruments is an asset
  • Strong musical proficiency and formal music training (music degree or certification preferred)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A passion for music education and a commitment to student success
  • Reliable car and a valid driver’s license are required (must be able to travel within Toronto)

Working Hours

  • Part-time with flexible scheduling to meet both instructor and student needs
  • Evening and weekend availability preferred
