Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Assistant Manager to join our retail team! In this pivotal role, you will support store operations, lead sales initiatives, and foster an engaging shopping environment. Your energetic leadership will drive team performance, ensure exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of the store. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals eager to develop their management skills and make a tangible impact in a fast-paced retail setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer experiences.
  • Oversee merchandising strategies, pricing accuracy, and inventory management to maximize sales potential.
  • Manage cash handling, POS transactions, and bookkeeping duties with precision and integrity.
  • Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies while maintaining a welcoming store environment.
  • Coordinate marketing activities and promotional displays to attract customers and boost sales.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory or team management experience within retail or customer service environments.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, sales management, and retail merchandising.
  • Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
  • Experience with payroll processing, budgeting, and administrative tasks such as bookkeeping is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, and pricing strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with effective time management and organizational abilities.
  • Prior experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development enhances your candidacy.
