About Us:

Montessori Casa is a nurturing and dynamic learning environment dedicated to the Montessori philosophy. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, foster independence, and provide a caring, child-centered and authentic Montessori environment where children thrive.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Montessori Guide to join our team. The ideal candidate is passionate about Montessori education, has a deep understanding of child development, and is committed to creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a Montessori classroom following authentic Montessori principles.
  • Create and maintain a prepared environment that encourages independence, exploration, and learning.
  • Guide children through the Montessori curriculum, fostering their individual growth and development.
  • Observe and document each child’s progress, adapting lessons to meet their needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative learning community.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Follow all licensing and regulatory requirements as outlined by Alberta childcare standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Montessori Certification (AMI or MACTE accredited).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Montessori Guide in an early childhood setting.
  • Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 2, or 3 certification (or willingness to obtain if required).
  • Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and child development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
  • Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check.
