Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in ensuring smooth daily operations within our medical practice. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative skills, experience with electronic medical records, and familiarity with front desk responsibilities. Prior experience with medical office systems such as Accuro is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner at the front desk
  • Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and confirm patient visits
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using Accuro
  • Collect patient information and update demographics and medical histories
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Support clinical staff by preparing patient charts and assisting with paperwork as needed
  • escorting patients to examining areas and preparing these areas for the next patient

Experience

  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems such as Accuro
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures
  • Office experience handling administrative tasks in a busy environment
  • Experience managing multi-line phone systems and front desk operations
  • Previous healthcare setting experience is highly advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask effectively

This position requires a professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to a dynamic healthcare environment. Candidates should be committed to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
