Company Description

Northalta Whitehawk Ambulance Inc. is a private company contracted by Alberta Health Services/ Emergency Health Services that operates a Basic Life Support (BLS) Ambulance Station in Northern Alberta. Our station is located on the Whitefish Lake Reserve in Atikameg, AB.

Role Description

This is a Part-Time role for a Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) located in Atikameg, AB. As a PCP, you will be responsible for responding to emergency medical calls and providing medical care to patients in need. You will be expected to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and emergency services to ensure patient safety and provide quality care. This position is a CORE-FLEX shift.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of a recognized Primary Care Paramedic Program
  • Current registration and licensing with the Alberta College of Paramedics
  • Valid Class 4 Alberta Driver's License or equivalent and a clean driver's abstract
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Demonstrated ability to remain calm in high-pressure situations and make decisions quickly and effectively
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively with others
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assess, communicate and document patient information
  • Completion of Online and Skills portion of the new AHS Version 5.0- Phase 2AHS Medical Control Protocol training is considered an asset, but we will be willing to train the right employee.
  • Completion of PCP Enhancement Training (Restrictions Removal Endorsement on your ACoP License) is considered an asset.
  • Must be physically fit

Orientation dates starting September or October 2026.
