Full job description

PCL Energy is seeking an experienced local Carpenter Foreperson to join us for the DOW P2Z project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Work Conditions & Remuneration:

  • Journeyperson base wage: $49.39/hr
  • Foreperson premium: $6.00/hr
  • 10% vacation/stat pay
  • 4.5% RSP contribution
  • 4.0% pension, including employer matching
  • Schedule: 5/2 ( Monday-Friday)
  • Local only - no LOA or travel provided
  • No drug and alcohol testing required
  • Must have own transportation

As a Carpenter Foreperson for our PCL Energy Edmonton District, the following criteria must be met:

  • Supervise and coordinate site construction activities with sub-trades and PCL’s own skilled craft workers
  • 2 or more years of formwork experience in field supervision or foreperson role in commercial or industrial construction
  • Hold a valid Journeyperson trade certificate or equivalent experience in the industry
  • Must have extensive knowledge and experience in various formwork systems like DOKA/PERI and be competent working at heights
  • Have extensive experience working with tower cranes, mobile cranes and other equipment to complete tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the PCL project team, consultants and inspectors to meet the project requirements
  • Understand, implement and enforce PCL's HSE program as well as local safety legislation and lead their crews accordingly
  • Capable of supervising crews in a safe and efficient manner and leading by example
  • Have strong leadership qualities, good attention to detail and take pride in their work
  • Understand the schedule and set attainable expectations with the crews
  • Be available to work overtime, evenings and weekends as the project might required
