Restruction Alberta Ltd. is a Building Envelope Restoration Specialist. All of our work is exterior re-framing with minimal interior/finishing carpentry.

***We are looking for 1st year apprentice to experienced carpenters***

Pay scale ranges from $22/hr. to $40/hr.

Requirements:

ü Red Seal Journeyman Ticket (a plus)

ü Ability to withstand weather conditions throughout the year as most of the work is outdoor.

ü Ability to read construction sketches and plans for work accordingly.

ü Excellent understanding of rough carpentry techniques including wall & floor framing, exterior envelope detailing, deck framing, balcony column framing, siding install, Windows and exterior doors install, flashing install, soffit install.

ü Proficient in using electrical and manual tools and equipment.

ü Good physical condition

ü Own basic tools

If hired, criminal record check certificate will be required

Primary Responsibilities:

· Be punctual.

· Receive work direction from Foreman, review and execute tasks as requested.

· Communicate daily with the Foreman on the job’s progress and if any concerns.

· Ensure all safety codes are followed and proper safety attire is worn at all times.

· Wear proper protection and exercise caution while using hand tools, drills, saws, knives, bars, blades etc.

· Complete Job Hazard Assessments every day and update, when necessary, there are changes to the work condition during the course of the day.

· Load, unload, and identify building materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans and specifications.

· Demolition, Installation of wall sheathing, studs, framing, exterior doors & windows, deck framing, soffits, etc.

· Fill out near miss reports; assist in writing up incident report should there be an accident.

· Perform low-risk abatement with proper PPE.

· Make sure your workspace is cleaned up at the end of each day and all your tools are properly put away.

Participate in any group activities organized by your supervisor or the management.

Pay: From $38.00 per hour
