Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our growing General Contracting team in the Nova Scotia area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple construction and interior finishing projects from start to finish, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role requires a hands-on individual with a strong background in general contracting, emergencies with leadership skills who can effectively coordinate trades, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal office staff.

Duties

  • Manage multiple construction and finishing projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate and schedule all trades and subcontractors.
  • Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall profitability.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to schedule and quality standards.
  • Identify potential delays, deficiencies, or issues and communicate solutions proactively.
  • Provide regular project updates to the office and senior management team.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal staff.
  • Source qualified trades and subcontractors for upcoming projects.
  • Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure project timelines are maintained and milestones are achieved.
  • Assist with project planning, procurement, and scheduling activities.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and records.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of construction methods, emergencies, scheduling, and project coordination.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects.

Preferred Experience

  • Commercial and residential restoration experience.
  • Hands-on experience in restoration, renovations, general contracting, or interior finishing is considered a strong asset.
  • WRT Certified
  • FSRT Certified

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
