Full job description

Job Summary
Well respected Victoria law firm with a strong real estate practice, high standards, and strong client relationships is seeking a capable real estate conveyancer. The conveyancer should enjoy being part of a close-knit, respectful team that works hard and supports one another. We offer an attractive salary, extended benefits, training on our in-office systems and a fun work environment. We are currently located in VicWest at Bay and Tyee, and starting in June we will be located across from the Victoria courthouse. Duties

  • Prepare and review legal documents related to property transactions, including contracts of sale, transfer of titles, and settlement statements
  • Manage the lodgment of documents with land registries and relevant authorities to ensure timely registration of property transfers
  • Liaise with clients, real estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other stakeholders to coordinate transaction progress
  • Conduct thorough searches of land titles, planning certificates, and other relevant property information
  • Facilitate the settlement process by coordinating with financial institutions, solicitors, and vendors to ensure smooth completion
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions and correspondence in accordance with legal standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Conveyancer or in a similar property law role with a strong understanding of conveyancing procedures
  • Knowledge of land registry systems, property legislation, and relevant legal frameworks
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills for liaising effectively with clients and industry professionals
  • Attention to detail coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment
  • Relevant qualifications or licensing in conveyancing or legal practice preferred
