Position Summary

Minami Yaletown is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher to support our back-of-house operations! This role plays an essential part in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works well in a fast-paced setting, and contributes positively to a team-oriented culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools efficiently
  • Ensure all items are properly sanitized and stored according to health and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dish pit and surrounding areas
  • Assist with basic kitchen cleaning tasks, including floors, garbage disposal, and recycling
  • Support kitchen staff with restocking supplies (e.g., plates, cutlery, cleaning materials)
  • Remove waste and ensure proper disposal in accordance with local regulations
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (including HACCP principles)
  • Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries as needed
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team members to ensure smooth service flow

Qualifications

  • Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience is an asset, but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
  • Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Pay: From $18.25 per hour
