Full job description

Vedder is looking for a Mechanic / fabricator to join our team. If you are a hard working team player with a positive attitude then we are looking for you.

This position would be responsible for the following:

  • Organize Jobs
  • Repair tankers, trucks, and trailers
  • Solid knowledge of 12V electrical systems
  • Experience with PTO, pump, cooler and hydraulic systems
  • Trailer wiring and basic electrical work
  • Knowledge of Hydrolic systems is an asset
  • Fabrications and installations
  • Move trucks and trailers
  • Repair and maintain shop equipment
  • Welding
  • Assist with quotes when required

The ideal candidate must be able to:

  • Have your own toolbox/tools
  • Willing and able to take direction
  • Confined Space Ticket is an asset
  • Experience with trailer mechanics is an asset
  • Welding ticket is required
  • Experience in the transportation industry is an asset
  • Minimum 2 years fabrication is required
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a heavy duty shop
  • Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and management
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet tight time restraints
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and safety policies

This position would work 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday
