Full job description

Surrey / South Surrey

We are a thriving counselling practice seeking part time associates to join our team. We are pleased to provide support and counselling to individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children. We are committed to exceptional, highly competent, and compassionate care for clients, collaboration and support amongst therapists, and a desire for ongoing growth and professional development. This position is designed to grow and work with your other personal and professional commitments and will be a unique opportunity for the right person.

Preference will be given to candidates who are experienced and highly trained in couples therapy, trauma, family therapy, child and adolescent mental health/development, and eating disorder treatment. There will be opportunities to see clients in all areas of our practice, but the above mentioned are areas we are currently seeing the greatest need. All therapists in the practice are trained in the Emotion-Focused Family Therapy model as we work closely with families to supported their loved ones. Previous training and experience in this model is also an asset but training and support will be provided.

An ideal candidate will have:

-A minimum of 5 years post-Master’s experience and professional registration in BC

-A high level of motivation, skills, training and competence

-Many years of experience with a variety of client populations and issues

-A commitment to compassionate, deeply connected, and meaningful work

-A great awareness of and commitment to professional ethics

-Ongoing supervision and professional development

-The ability to work independently and as part of a team

-A willingness to accommodate some evening and weekend availability
