Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Help with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Monitor clients' health status by observing changes in their condition and reporting concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Follow individualized care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records of services provided and any changes in client condition.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Home Health Aide/Community Support Worker or in a similar caregiving role is preferred but not required.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or Community Support Worker completion of a relevant training program is advantageous.
- Registered Nurse from a Country other than Canada combined with Canadian HealthCare experience will be considered
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting and assisting clients as needed.
- A genuine passion for helping others and providing high-quality care in a home setting.
- Must have own vehicle in good working condition and class 5 drivers license
Availability:
Must be available for Monday to Fridays days and alternating weekend. We also have weekend only positions available for caregivers.
