Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about helping others, especially seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. The Home Care Worker plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and companionship.

Required Availability : 7am - 4pm everyday

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration as needed
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
  • Support patients with mobility and transfer techniques, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
  • Assist with specialized care needs such as dementia care, hospice support, or working with individuals with disabilities

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, hospice care, or home care is preferred
  • Knowledge of patient care, senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
  • Strong caregiving skills with compassion and patience
  • Ability to follow detailed care plans and medication schedules accurately
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients
  • Certification or training in caregiving, nursing assistance, or related fields is a plus
  • Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing high-quality care in a respectful manner

Pay: $18.25 per hour

Experience:

  • Caregiving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Caregiving Certification (preferred)
  • Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check in last 6 months (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

  • 100% (preferred)
