Are you passionate about supporting children with special needs and helping families get the respite they deserve? Kids Without Limits is hiring a Respite Support Worker to provide essential care to children with autism and developmental delays in a supportive and inclusive environment.

About the Role:
As a Respite Support Worker, you will provide regular, structured support to children in their homes and communities, allowing parents and guardians a chance to rest and recharge. With a flexible schedule of 6–30 hours per week, this role is perfect for those seeking a rewarding, impactful part-time opportunity.

**Driver’s License Required: A valid Class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle are essential, as the role includes transporting children to community outings and appointments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist children with daily routines, such as meal prep, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Implement individualized care plans to promote child development, social involvement, and independence.
  • Engage children in fun, creative, and therapeutic activities tailored to their interests and needs.
  • Ensure the physical and emotional safety of the child, while fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Communicate with families to ensure care plans are being followed and feedback is provided.
  • Transport children to and from community activities, outings, and appointments as needed.

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Background in working with children, especially those with autism, ADHD, or other developmental delays.

  • Certifications: First Aid & CPR Level C (current), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certification (preferred).
  • Licenses: Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle with $2 million third-party liability insurance.
  • Clearances: Clean Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
