Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This role is vital in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospital settings, strong organizational skills, and a genuine desire to assist patients through their healthcare journey. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where patient care and administrative duties intersect, contributing to overall clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures at the front desk
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Collect and update patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, following proper protocols
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and examination rooms
  • Handle phone inquiries, respond to patient questions, and coordinate follow-up appointments
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy standards (HIPAA)
  • Support administrative tasks such as billing, coding, and insurance documentation as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures
  • Experience with medication administration is highly desirable
  • Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or relevant healthcare training is preferred but not required
  • Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and staff members
