Job description:

As a Registered Care Aide, you will provide care services to regular and new clients in a hospital and home setting. You will assist in the development of a plan of care based on the needs of the Patients providing holistic personal, emotional and psychosocial care to patients.

The RCA will work closely and provide quality, compassionate care as per the direction and care plan designed for the Patients in a Hospital /Home setting as per requirements.

-- Should be a Registered with BC Care Aide registry.

--3-6 months experience preferred
-- Per Day Shifts with an ongoing Contract
-- Pay Rate-CAD 28/hr-30/hr.(based on experience)
-- Shifts- 4/8/10/12 hrs daily as per requirement.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic personal, emotional and psychosocial care to residents
  • Provide personal hygiene, oral care, skincare, toileting, bathing, feeding, dressing, and grooming
  • Use a variety of specialized equipment such as electric beds, mechanical lifts, tubs, and wheelchairs
  • Be fluent in verbal, written, and electronic communication in English
  • Ensure the highest resident safety and well-being
  • Monitor, report, and document changes in resident’s health status
  • Caregiver should have car to commute the client place

Qualifications:

1. Current Registration with Care Aide Registry of British Columbia.

2. Graduate from an approved Care Aide, RCA, Nursing assistant, or PSW program

3. Must have a valid Canadian work permit

4. 2 Step TB/Chest X-ray required.

5. COVID-19 Immunization Certificate

6. Must be in good health and be physically able to perform all aspects of the position.

7. Previous experience in Long Term Care is preferred.
