Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant

Millbrook Valley Animal Hospital – Millbrook, ON

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care for pets and outstanding service to their families? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where teamwork, compassion, and client care come first?

Millbrook Valley Animal Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Receptionist/Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team! We are a full-service small animal practice committed to providing state-of-the-art veterinary medicine while creating a welcoming, Fear Free experience for every patient and client.

About You

You are someone who:

  • Has previous experience working in a veterinary clinic (required)
  • Enjoys building relationships with clients and their pets
  • Is compassionate, organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment
  • Works well independently while also being a supportive team member
  • Has excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is eager to learn

Responsibilities

As part of our team, you may:

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client communications
  • Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized hospital
  • Restrain patients safely and compassionately
  • Assist with laboratory samples, pharmacy duties, and other daily hospital tasks
  • Support the team in providing an exceptional client and patient experience

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary clinic experience is required
  • Experience with Avimark practice management software is considered a strong asset
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine passion for animal care and client service
