Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Opportunity

We’re thrilled to offer a unique opportunity to join Specialized Ultrasound in Gynecology & Obstetrics (SUGO) - the leading OBGYN ultrasound clinic. At SUGO, we specialize in gynecology and obstetrics imaging, alongside a small volume of general ultrasound cases, offering a focused and rewarding work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures using high-frequency sound waves in the clinic setting as required using best practice and up-to-date methods.
  • Prepare accurate reports documenting procedures and test results.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, gynecologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver top-tier patient care.
  • Balance clinical efficiency with compassionate patient experiences.
  • Follow Ministry of Health sanitary protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Knowledge of normal anatomy vs. pathological variance is required. Evaluate requisitions and conduct patient interviews to determine the appropriate exams.
  • Responsible for producing maximum image quality, adapting technical factors and accessories in consideration of patient condition, the requested exam and clinical history.
  • Assists current and new employees in the use of systems/equipment and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and support trainees as needed.
  • Transfer, position, and lift patients as necessary during imaging procedures.

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Completion of a recognized post-diploma or graduate ultrasound training program (minimum of 1 year experience preferred).
  • Experience: Strong preference for candidates with expertise in gynecological and obstetric ultrasounds.

Certification:

  • Current credentials with Sonography Canada (required).
  • Active membership with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) (required).
  • NT certification (an asset).

Work Schedule

  • 8-hour or 12-hour shifts with flexibility between Monday and Friday, and 8-hour shifts on Saturday, including exclusive 4-hour evening shifts during the week.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $42.00-$50.00 per hour
