Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aide to provide high-quality support to our clients in a home care or assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure safety, and promote independence for individuals with diverse needs, including seniors and those with disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others through attentive caregiving and personalized care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support as needed
  • Administer medications accurately following care plans and protocols
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
  • Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
  • Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
  • Assist with mobility exercises and transfers to promote safety and independence
  • Support clients with activities tailored to their individual needs, including dementia care and working with individuals with disabilities

Requirements

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
  • Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, medication administration, and caregiving best practices
  • Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
  • Valid certification or training in caregiving is an asset but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary certifications is required
  • Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks safely and effectively

This position is to work directly with an elderly couple with increasing care aide needs. They have a room and bathroom on lower floor of the home for in home living. Private space out of town with room as well as a place for horses if so desired! Home is well setup with a beautiful large kitchen and all the amenities needed. Acreage with access to infinite walking/biking/atv trails etc.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
