Full job description

Pharmacy Technician/Assistant – Pharmasave – Heritage Pointe

We are looking for a pharmacy technician/assistant for an independent pharmacy located in deep south Calgary. Established store with excellent patients.

Responsibilities will include:

· Data entry & verification for accuracy of prescriptions.

· Assists patients, receives written prescriptions, obtains medical history.

· Processes POS/register transactions.

· Provides friendly, prompt and courteous patient interactions

· First point of phone/contact for patients.

· Updating patient profile and entering prescription information into the pharmacy (Kroll).

· Counts, labels and packages prescriptions, through workflow and bin management.

· Prepares third-party insurance claims.

· Orders, receives, stocks prescription drugs, supplies and over-the counter products.

· Ensures pharmacy is clean/organized at all times.

Hours

· Store hours are Monday to Thursday 9 am to 6:30 pm, Friday 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm. We are closed statutory holidays and Sundays.
