  • Perform pre-testing and diagnostic imaging (autorefraction, tonometry, visual fields, OCT, and similar)
  • Take patient histories and triage patient concerns to determine urgency and appropriate next steps
  • Maintain patient records
  • Assist patients with eyewear and contact lens selection as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an optometric or ophthalmic assistant/technician is required
  • Proficiency with pre-testing equipment and diagnostic imaging
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy clinic environment
  • Experience with VisualEyes software is an asset
  • Availability to work clinic hours, including evenings and a Saturday rotation
  • Reliability and teamwork

Wage is commensurate with experience.

Airdrie Eyecare Centre is a well-established, community-focused practice with a loyal patient base and a supportive team environment. We invest in modern diagnostic technology and value staff who bring both skill and genuine care to their work.
