Full job description

Atlas Medical Clinic is a modern, physician‑led family practice and walk‑in clinic serving the Richmond Hill community. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional, patient‑centred care in a welcoming environment. To support our growing patient base, we are seeking a reliable, friendly Medical Office Assistant (MOA) who can thrive in a fast‑paced setting and is available to work some evening and weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Reception: Greet, register, and check‑in patients.
  • Telephone & Scheduling: Answer multi‑line phones, book appointments, manage recalls, and coordinate referrals.
  • Electronic Medical Records: Use TELUS PS Suite (EMR) to enter notes, scan documents, and maintain accurate records.
  • Clinical Support:
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure adequate stock of supplies.
  • Obtain and record vitals (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure).
  • Provide urine‑test instructions and collect samples.
  • Billing & Payments: Collect fees, process transactions, and issue receipts.
  • Follow‑Up Care: Relay test results, specialist referrals, and physician call‑backs as directed.
  • Environment & Safety: Keep reception, clinical areas, and common spaces clean and organized in accordance with infection‑control standards.

Qualifications

  • EMR Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with TELUS PS Suite (required).
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages an asset.
  • Experience: Prior MOA or allied health/medical office experience preferred.
  • Customer Service: Genuine, patient‑focused demeanor with excellent interpersonal and telephone etiquette.
  • Organization: Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a busy clinic.
  • Initiative: Self‑starter who anticipates needs and contributes to continuous workflow improvements.
  • Availability: Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and at least one weekend shift.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
