Title: Transportation Coordinator & Driver
Salary: $54,206 - $67,757 - $74,533 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Temporary - till April 2027, with the possibility of an extension. When the term position ends with the FNHA, it is intended that this position will be offered as a permanent role with the es zúmin’ Primary Care Center.
Hours: Regular Hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: es zúmin’ Primary Care Centre - Mount Currie
PRIMARY CARE CENTER SUMMARY
The es zúmin’ Primary Care Centre, a BC First Nations Led Primary Care initiative in the FNHA Southern Stl’atl’imx sub-region, aims to improve access to primary health care services and traditional wellness services for First Nations people in a way that is culturally safe and closer to home. This region extends 150 km from N’Quatqua in the north to Tipella (Xa’xtsa/Douglas Nation) in the south. This sub-region includes five First Nations communities, the Líl?wat, N’Quatqua, Samahquam, Skatin and Xa’xtsa (or Douglas) Nations.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for planning and conducting safe and timely travel for staff and clients of the Primary Care Centre, including organizing schedules, providing transportation, assisting passengers as needed, performing and documenting vehicular safety checks, maintenance and cleaning processes. The position works under the direction of the Practice Clinical Manager and coordinates with members of the primary care team to identify daily assignment, priorities, and schedules.
About you:
To be successful in this role you will have-
- Provincial Grade 12 education or equivalent
- Valid BC Class 4A or 4B Driver’s License
- Current First Aid and CPR certification required or must complete within 3 months of employment
- Successful completion of Violence Prevention training within 3 months of employment
- Experience working with First Nation and Indigenous individuals or communities
- Experience driving in remote areas in all and inclement weather conditions
- Prior experience in passenger transportation, especially with individuals with disabilities is an asset

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
