Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The Medical Scribe will assist physicians by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and efficient medical recordkeeping. This role is vital in supporting clinical workflows and enhancing patient care quality. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs). This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in healthcare or medical administration.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions into electronic medical records during clinical visits.
  • Ensure all relevant patient information, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment plans are documented thoroughly and promptly.
  • Assist healthcare providers by managing documentation tasks to allow more focus on patient care.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Review and verify the accuracy of medical documentation for completeness and correctness.
  • Support administrative tasks related to patient records as needed, including chart organization and data entry.
  • Punjabi language an asset.

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology is essential for accurate documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure are necessary.
  • Prior experience as a medical scribe or in a similar role will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates eager to learn.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
