Job Overview

Join our dynamic dermatology practice as a Registered Nurse dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and supporting innovative skin health treatments. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive nursing services, assist with dermatological procedures, and ensure a smooth, efficient clinical environment. Your attitude and energy will help patients feel confident and cared for at every visit, making a real difference in their skin health journey. We are looking for energetic, compassionate nurses who thrive in a fast-paced setting and are eager to contribute to a vibrant healthcare team.

Duties

  • Prepare patients for dermatological examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding of the process
  • Assist physicians during skin treatments, biopsies, laser therapies, and other dermatology-specific procedures
  • Administer medications and topical treatments accurately following physician orders
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy when needed, ensuring proper labeling and documentation
  • Maintain detailed patient records using electronic health record system PS Suite
  • Educate patients on skincare routines, post-procedure care, and medication usage to promote healing and wellness
  • Manage patient flow efficiently

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license with current registration in Ontario...CNO, RNAO
  • Proven experience in hospital settings or outpatient clinics, preferably with dermatology or specialty care backgrounds is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and laboratory procedures including phlebotomy
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate diverse patient populations about their skin health needs.
